Ugly win. You take a few of those each season but we really need to step it up, particularly next weekend!
Enjoy the Championship, in your shiny new ground, just before you go bankrupt! They are dogshit.

Well that was more torturous that hoped for, but got the 3 points.

Game management after scoring a concern again, slow and backwards passing around the defenders and just inviting pressure.

Can Everton just please fuck off. Their support was a joke!

Didn't augie want us to sign him?!

A focal point on form but he's mostly off it, injured, too busy modelling.

The absolute fucking state of that prick Dyce. Fucking pure Sunday morning park.
Thought he looks like he will be attending a NF rally or something later

Only a couple of quality attacking moments in the game and we “scored “ from both
Vieira’s through ball was sublime.
Far too many lofted crosses for Everton huge lumps to cope with low and hard Vieira did a lovely one which Eddie should have been better positioned for or pull it back for our attacking midfield to pounce.

Rice was our MOM again, he only misplaced 1 pass all game, late on, edge of our box, but he quickly got at it to rectify.

As others have said a bit of a concern that we haven’t clicked up top yet, but we’ve won a game we lost last season,

Jesus looked a shadow of his normal self energy wise, could have done better when he had a chance for a break straight down the middle.

So happy with the win, but nothing to get carried away about so far.

That is why (I think) Mikel resisted playing Gabriel as long as he did.

Just has a crucial error in him every time he plays
; some leads to goals some we get away with. It's not even lapse of concentration, it's just that moment of panic he has in him.

Even for Gabi's goal, he tried a pass that came off the Everton player and went to Nketiah but could've easily gone to Everton and they would've counter attacked 4v2.

I'm not having that at all - Gabriel was out on his feet because his fitness isnt up to the required level cos pep's cone boy wasnt picking him when he should have. You could see in that instance that he was out on his feet and it was fatigue that caused it

Gabriel played the 90 against united, flew to Brazil, played every minute of their two games, flew home and then had to go today again.

Think he faded due to being overplayed lately rather than underplayed.

Having said that there’s definitely a mistake in him. He can be having a great game, when suddenly out of nowhere and not under much pressure he’ll drop a clanger like that shank today. He normally compounds those by chasing after it trying to make amends only to make things worse.

He can be really good on his day but there’s always that niggling feeling that a brain fart is not far away, something you never have to worry about with Saliba.

Raya didn’t have much to do today but looked very comfortable with the ball at his feet, didn’t invite trouble by holding on to it for an eternity and was also very commanding on crosses which takes big pressure of the rest of the defence on set pieces.

He played an absolute beauty of a ball to Saka at the start of the second half and came for everything in the air. Not much to judge him on but he looked good.
