Anyone going to ask that ignorant cûnt why he threw an elbow into Gabriel's face? Fucking trophyless piece of absolute shit. Fucking ugly vermin scum. I'll be fucking thrilled if we fucking do them over there.

Fair play to Jesus and Trossard for having the impact they did. Jesus's finishing worries me but his work rate and set up play was first class. Trossard - that's a player in his peak years with ultimate composure and confidence in his ability

Fucking disappointing really. Thought we had a chance to turn this lot over.
But they were better than I expected given the noises about how many points they are behind Leverkusen (sp? )
Stinkchenko and Partey were both appalling, I can only assume that Diet Pep told Stinkchenko to forget about defending against Sane and Koman and just wander wherever he feels like.
We still have a mental issue with European football and some players didn't turn up. :blah:
Amazed at some of the refereeing decisions. The Saka penalty at the end, how many times have we seen players straight leg the defender and "win" a penalty, and I think Neuer definitely moves a leg out

What a sliding doors moment the pivot from Mudryk has turned out to be.

Martinelli shouldn’t be near the starting 11 ahead of Trossard.

An entertaining game. We were our own worst enemies in the first half.
We got lucky with their shot that hit the post but Saka should have won it for us at the end, no idea why he’s more interested in trying to win a penalty instead of just scoring!

All to play for in the second leg

Out of the country and didn’t see the game. Haven’t had a chance to read the thread either.

How was it. BBC report wasn’t complimentary, apparently lacked any real zip and fluidity and looked shaky at the back…is that correct?

At least we’re still in it and no away goals rule.

Think a valuable lesson from tonight is that in the PL you can carry the odd Kiwior/Zinchenko/Partey....but at CL Qf Level, you simply can't

The ones we thought might get exposed really were. Raya? Hmm. Didn't cover himself in glory for the first goal but there was still enough time to recover from that in 3 different stages - Kiwior was like a plank when Gabriel played the ball towards him, Rice a rare moment of caught napping and Saliba also a rare moment of rashness
