Back in the old days when the French and the English were at war. The French captured an English senior ranking officer. They asked him what possessed the English to wear redcoats when fighting. Didn't they realise that they stood out and made easy targets? The English officer pointed out to them that if they were wounded in battle the redcoat would not show the blood and their soldiers would not be demotivated. The French agreed that it was an excellent idea!
Ever since that day the French army have worn brown trousers

I lived in Paris for 3 years it is a fucking brilliant place.
DB10 how can you say the food is crap? I can only assume you ate in one of the touristy restaurants. i used to eat out almost eevry night while I was there. Excellent food and easy to find good value "prix fixe" menus.
Barry WTF was that string of French, did you get it translated by babelfish.
However "mes excuses" to our French colleagues but I didn't like working there. The French are pretty rigid in the way they work and only the French way is right.
