When I went for the FA Cup tie, the Old Bill escorted us to the Uni bar - then banned anyone from leaving and forced us to get on the buses. A few of us complained about being incarcerated in spite of having done nothing wrong, but were simply told by the enlightened officers that merely being a football fan meant we couldn't possibly be trusted to wander around on our own.
My point being - the bar is ok, and if you don't mind having your day controlled by the state's henchmen, then go with that. But if you actually want to remain free to make your own decisions, then stay in the train station until the football crowd has dispersed, and stroll out as if you're a normal citizen.
It is, however, a bloody long walk to the ground, and a shitty, miserable one at that. And they don't seem to have discovered taxis up there, either. _________________ GINGERS FOR LIMPAR
