The Gooner - Issue 222 £2.00

Issue 222 of The Gooner from January 2012 is a Thierry Henry special. Not only does our returning legend feature on the front cover, but there are also articles by Bernard Dowling and Sam Bradshaw about his Arsenal comeback and he’s one half of the shoot-out which Joe Mardon covers to discover the greatest Arsenal player he’s seen. Following on from his look back at Highbury in a recent issue, Charlie Ashmore now turns his attention to Stamford Bridge, a ground which has changed beyond all recognition in the last 20 years and one which has seen as many highs and lows for Arsenal fans as almost any other ground. For music fans, there’s also a fascinating piece about the Rainbow Theatre as Robert Exley continues his tour of Arsenal Land and a piece by Chris Towers on how the African Cup of Nations has impacted the Gunners over the years. Plus, of course, all the regulars – Talking Reds, Mickey Cannon, Highbury Spy, North Bank Times, Wenger’s (Alternative) View and Inbox, which is packed with another healthy dose of readers views.
