The dust on the 2024-25 campaign hasn’t even begun to settle yet but The Arsenal have already released our new home kit.
In a shocking twist, Arsenal will play in red shirts and white shorts. Who could’ve foreseen that? I jest of course. I am a big fan.
This year, Adidas have opted to use the human heart as a “creative device to take supporters on a journey to the source of life behind the badge.”
It’s all very much marketing 101 but if it funds a shiny new striker, I’m all for it.
As for the design, the Gothic-style Arsenal ‘A’ has been woven into the shirts and socks which allows for our VCC crest to feature in the design.
We also see a return of the full Arsenal crest as opposed to just the cannon which I really like. The cannon is great, but you can’t have an Arsenal shirt without “Arsenal” on it.
We’ve also rightly dropped the blue strips that ran across the collars and sleeves.
Blue has no place on an Arsenal home shirt.
The authentic shirts will use HEAT.RDY technology to improve comfort and moisture management so our players will be nice and comfy for our quadruple winning campaigns.
Personally, I prefer our retro kits, but I like how we’ve kept this one simple while embracing many of our traditions and acknowledging our rich history.
It will appeal to fans of all ages, and I think I will lighten the wallet for this one.
