The January "He Looks Quite Good" Transfer Thread
Re: The Fake News Summer Transfer Thread
Lemar was supposed to be done and dusted at this point, but the club can't shift the deadwood which is delaying any possible future transfers.
The wasters at the club are refusing to take pay cuts to move. Imagine getting paid double what you would get anywhere else for doing next to nothing. Don't blame them.

There's one person to blame here and it's the useless prick of a manager. He's the one who wanted these players to have contract extensions or bought them in the first place and he's the one who could be on to the owner to give him more money to get the deal done . Remember we keeping being told that money is not an issue and that it's available. It's an excuse for not getting business done earlier.

Seriously lads - don't worry about it..... there's no point. Even if by some miracle the likes of Wilshere, Gibbs etc etc would take a pay cut and go play somewhere else then the Lemar deal would still have dragged on and probably not happened via some excuse. Wenger isn't interested in using the transfer market anymore than what is dictated to him by the club to keep the sheep happy.
Until Wenger is gone we all just need to take the emotional attachment out of it and do one of the following just enjoy the piss ups and seeing mates at the games, watch them in the pub with mates or just do something else of a weekend.
The club are not even trying to reach anything like their potential and so why should we care?

I think you may just have something there GTG !
Re: The Fake News Summer Transfer Thread
13 years of shite. Stuck with dead wood. Never make enough strong signings. Losing our best players to more ambitious clubs. Keeping players like Mertesacker and Cazorla on big wages for years past their best. Socialist wage structure. Zero fucking tactics and defensive discipline. Sideways football. Same old, same old
How can any sane person think it will get any better, with that miserable old bastard running everything forever-more?
I'm glad we finally got rid of Szczesny, albeit four years too late. Any keeper who fucked about like he did, with trying to do Cruyff Turns on the edge of the box and conceding stupid goals, could never make it here. He was the goalkeeper version of Bendtner, though with slightly more talent for his ego. Maybe his gushing farewell speech meant he finally realised what an opportunity he wasted here, but it was too late. Another casualty of the zero discipline at the Colney Crèche.

Most clubs know we are desperately trying to shift these players and will try to undercut us. Likely a lot of the deadwood will leave on loan as no club in their right minds will pay a decent transfer fee for them and then give them a pay rise too. Jenkinson notably refused to join Palace in Jan because they reportedly won't give him a rise on his £40k a week wages. We've accumulated so much deadweight it's beyond ridiculous. Debuchy, Jenkinson, Gibbs, Wilshere and at least one of Giroud, Welbeck or Walnut should fuck off.

Sanchez has an abdominal strain and out until the end of August?
Anyway I'm not worried cos Mr 30 years has promised he'll still be an Arsenal player on 1 September

Re: The Fake News Summer Transfer Thread
£80m from PSG is hard to resist (if it's true that is)
Re: The Fake News Summer Transfer Thread
Great so we're starting the season without our best player and he may even be leaving this month, certainly next summer.Eboue-Why? wrote: ↑Wed Aug 09, 2017 9:25 amSanchez has an abdominal strain and out until the end of August?

Real progress being made.............. as in progress towards being a full time Europa league level club.
Well done Stan and Arsene, this is what we left Highbury for you pair of c**ts.
Re: The Fake News Summer Transfer Thread
tbh I think we'll struggle to be a full time Europa League club.
Re: The Fake News Summer Transfer Thread
I also think he's a lying **nt as there's nothing wrong with Sanchez.

Yep, it's the classc protecting the asset before you sell it on to a new owner trick.... another old trick was the excuse "we are resting the player because he is distracted by the media attention and speculation over his future".
Sanchez is bang out the door on the last day of the transfer window. I'm convinced of it.
Re: The Fake News Summer Transfer Thread
I think Sanchez will be out too. With the market as it is it has got to be 80mill. If the victims sell Coutinhio for 120 mill they might make a bid too.
