Seen them at RDS in Dublin in the early 80's, "those about to rock tour".
They were good apart from the screeching Johnson. Since then they have become too comercialised and unrecogniseable from the band I loved.
I posted on here some time ago about a dvd I bought online, it featured their appearance on the bbc show rock goes to college in1977, that's when I became hooked and my Mum always blamed that show for my under achieving academicallicalalaly at school, as all I did was listen to ac/dc.
If you haven't seen it, then it's purchase if you are a fan is an absolute must. It's like being a gooner and never having seen Charlie Goerge's celebration in th 71 cup final.

is that the one where (a bare chested) Bon carries Angus on his shoulders...and there's only one of the whole audience up and ead banging....
Their first tour was CRAZEEE!...they were all so young (even Bon - and totally p*ssed out of their skulls from day one till they flew home.....
Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap!?...You Betcha!
I may still have the original badge ( this was before T-shirts became the BIG money spinner) somewhere, if I can find it, you can have it mate....I've not long moved home, and living outta cardboard boxes etc, so give me a month or so...it's nothing 'special' design wise, actually it's just a small round tin badge , black with a scrawled ac/dc motif on it, but it's (ooohh lemme see 1976 ?) 34 years old?? - Shiiiiitttt!..has it really bin that Loooong!

Ha ha cheers, that's Glenn Tilbrook, looking like Steve Davis, strangely not one of my favorites, my favorite Squeeze song is this one:- (although a break up song mate)OneBardGooner wrote:is that the one where (a bare chested) Bon carries Angus on his shoulders...and there's only one of the whole audience up and ead banging....

Yes, I know, I actually did think of them when I posted it, hence why I put the nature of the song in brackets, then I thought, come on, it'll toughen them up a bit ..marcengels wrote:Quality song Frank.franksav63 wrote:Ha ha cheers, that's Glenn Tilbrook, looking like Steve Davis, strangely not one of my favorites, my favorite Squeeze song is this one:- (although a break up song mate)OneBardGooner wrote:Oh! Just got Plan B's new album and its proper banging.
The track stay too long is definately the strongest and a real good mix of the the singing / rhyming approach he's applying to this release.
the released she said is cool , but the change of 4 bar beat to 3 and back is a little too obvious for my liking, the last band to pull that off ( i heard) was pink floyd on money.
the disco piano sounding traded my cigarettes is the most sung track on the album and done proper well,
what yo gonna do ahs great emotion.
defiately my album of the year so far, well worth a listen.
