Heard of two options, Flora Sandes (Weatherspoons) or The Railway Telegraph.
Any thoughts on the two? Are there others that gooners normally go to?
Plan to be on one of the trains from Victoria to Thornton Heath around 1030 or so.
Palace thread, pubs/trains.

Re: Palace away thread, pubs/trains. etc
Been to the Railway Telegraph before which seemed to have a good mix of away and home support.
Either pub is pretty much outside the station.
1030? You're starting pretty early.

I've seen that a few people are thinking of drinking in Clapham/Balham area and then heading down. Anyone else doing this?
Re: Palace thread, pubs/trains.
Don't forget if you're coming from N. London
If you were in Clapham Jct about 2030 last Friday night then I apologise, it was probably me.
Also if you're drinking in Clapham Junction then there is the Falcon http://www.nicholsonspubs.co.uk/thefalc ... ionlondon/ just outside the station, with the Slug and lettuce next door. However the service can be a bit ropey. If you go about 3 minutes up from the north exit of the station there is a very nice Youngs pub called the Plough which has excellent service and good food. http://www.theploughstjohnshill.co.uk/LONDON OVERGROUND: Saturday 21 and Sunday 22 February, no service between Highbury & Islington and Shadwell, and between Sydenham and Crystal Palace due to Crossrail works.

The Flora Spoons was packed last year could barely move. AVOID.
Plenty of pubs to choose from in Clapham and then a 15 minute train to TH.

Would like to help but unlike the Herd, I don't have a minute detail of an area I didn't live in a country I left some years ago.
Used a nice pub when we played Wimbledon at Selhurst but for the life of me can't remember the name. Sorry

Few of us heading to the 'william stanley' in Norwood junction.
Jump off at norwood junction and head to the clock tower right in front of you. When you reach the tower chuck a cheeky right on the high street and pub is 50 yds down.
5 minute walk then to selhurst park.
