The little chav is back from injury "ahead of schedule".
Don't want him anywhere near the first team.

Calling him "a little chav"? Doesn't seem quite right.SydneyGooner wrote:The little chav is back from injury "ahead of schedule".

Subs bench, then can come on to give someone a breather if we are comfortable (I know, I know)SydneyGooner wrote:The little chav is back from injury "ahead of schedule".

Re: Jack Wilshere: Over-Rated?
He got a great reception from the away support when he came over at the end of the palace game,no doubting that he has the talent to be a fantastic footballer and im hoping that in years to come this thread and some of the comments will be causing a few posters to cringe with
I must admit to being a bit bias when it comes to Jack because I have known him and his family since he was 10 and have watched him get kicked all over the pitch at every level playing his heart out for the Arsenal in youth tournaments all over Europe and most of the time he would pick himself up and go again ,his attitude and ability was why 9 times out of ten he would be voted player of the tournament by the other coaches from Europes elite teams so any over rating of his ability is not exclusive to some of Arsenals support and the English media

Funny that now it is his attitude that is often questioned.herbert wrote:his attitude and ability was why 9 times out of ten he would be voted player of the tournament by the other coaches from Europes elite teams so any over rating of his ability is not exclusive to some of Arsenals support and the English media

quite rightly when you are repeatedly pictured out on the piss and smoking when you've been continually injured for what 2-3 years now ?VAVAVOOM 14 wrote:Funny that now it is his attitude that is often questioned.herbert wrote:his attitude and ability was why 9 times out of ten he would be voted player of the tournament by the other coaches from Europes elite teams so any over rating of his ability is not exclusive to some of Arsenals support and the English media
i liked jack, but as soon as he made the England squad his head went - he's also too lightweight for the PL (in the position wonga plays him against his will) and is a poor finisher. He could prove me wrong at another club, but wenger will never play him in the false #10 role that his frame is suited for.
for me he really has to execute the next two seasons and stay fit, otherwise we should flog him to Liverpool, Everton or Newcastle. at 21 he's not done yet, but 23 ? if he hasn't produced by them sell him.

Re: Jack Wilshere: Over-Rated?
Jack follows the typical English progression, ala Michael Owen
1. Get noticed at young age
2. Have series of good club performances
3. Be hailed as England's great savior, centre of media cirus
4. Play 12-months-a-year balancing club duties with being overused by a series of failing England managers
5. Have a host of injuries, never really get back to full fitness
6. England fans turn on you, sick of hearing about you
7. Enjoy mildly successful career that never hit the promise expected
8. Become a pundit and otherwise minor social media celebrity

Re: Jack Wilshere: Over-Rated?
Followed him since he was about 15 , and really had high hopes .
His injuries and attitude have held his career back and now at 22 he isn't the prodigy anymore.
His injuries have been unfortunate, and I think he would have benefited from some mentoring from an older player or even a Pires type figure as he gets too easily wound up and distracted from his game.
He still could make it but I think if City really do offer us £30 million for him ,Id sell him !

Herd may well be right- Rumours on Talkshite that Citeh will certainly be swooping for him.
Prefer he went abroad TBH, but then would he have the ability to learn their language

Re: Jack Wilshere: Over-Rated?
I'd take their money and run and use it to strengthen a position we need (yeah I know ha ha ). Spends as much time whingeing on the floor as he does in the treatment room/out with his chavvy mates
