Every Player, Every Moment:
Coming down from a season like no other, filled with incredible highs, I wanted to find a way to capture it all in words. Winning the Champions League isn’t just about the trophy — it’s the reward for a season of relentless battles, and it means everything to us. Aside from my season review, I felt I had to write another piece.
So, from my heart, here’s a look at every player who took to the pitch this season. I’m not including those who didn’t get game time or players out on loan — but everyone else: the goalkeepers, defenders, midfielders, forwards, all the way to the boss herself. Let’s hope my memory hasn’t failed me. This is Arsenal’s season, player by player. My heartfelt tribute to our Gunners.
For the Passion You Never Hid, Manu.
Although her role changed this season with Daphne van Domselaar arriving and securing the No.1 spot, Manu Zinsberger accepted the new dynamic and Arsenal built a strong goalkeeper union. Her performance in the crucial win over Manchester United, when pressure was high and confidence wavering, was pivotal. That moment helped Arsenal secure second place in the WSL.
There is no place for hate in the game — players are human first, and Manu’s passion for Arsenal has always been evident. Her dedication is real and meaningful. Celebrating with the squad in Lisbon was a fitting moment that showed she belongs in this team and this story. Manu has played her part — and could even continue to do so going forward.
Rising to the Occasion Daphne, Every Time.
From the moment Daphne van Domselaar stepped into the team, there was a quiet confidence that everyone could sense. At just 25, she plays with the calm and composure of someone with many more years of experience. It’s clear Arsenal are in safe hands with her for the years ahead.
Her first interview revealed a dream of winning the Champions League with Arsenal, and less than a year later, she’s made that dream a reality.
Daphne looks settled, happy, and truly at the heart of the squad. On the pitch, she embodies everything a modern goalkeeper should be: calm on the ball, precise with her distribution, and an incredible shot-stopper. She’s already one of the best in her position, yet this is only the beginning.
The Quiet Force Behind Our Success - Emily Fox.
Emily Fox has quietly (who am I kidding) become my favourite player. From the moment she first set foot on the pitch for Arsenal, her unwavering consistency and quiet strength have set her apart. I can’t recall a single game where she didn’t give her all — that level of dependability is invaluable.
This season, she has been a rock for this team. It’s great to see others finally recognising how good she is, but those of us watching closely have known it all along. With calm confidence, she holds the line; when it matters, she surges forward — and when she scores a worldie, I’m left on my knees, stunned in the stands.
She’s exactly the kind of player this club needs to build around. Foxy has become one of Arsenal’s most important signings, and I’m so excited to see what’s next.
Lotte Wubben-Moy - This Is Your Club.
Lotte Wubben-Moy’s contract extension was one of the season’s standout moments. She is a true Arsenal player - this is her club.
Despite facing challenges, injuries and strong competition for places, her importance to the squad has never wavered. After being named Player of the Season last year, she still remains a key figure as Arsenal build depth and manage workloads going forward.
Her leadership on and off the pitch, along with her commitment to the club and community, speaks volumes. Arsenal is lucky to have her.
As Renee Slegers continues to shape the team, Lotte’s role is expected to grow next season - and when that happens, I know she’ll be more than ready.
Fearless and Ready - Laia (¡Vamos!) Codina.
Laia Codina’s minutes this season were limited, but when she stepped onto the pitch, she showed real grit, like that crucial last ditch tackle on Bunny Shaw against Manchester City earlier in the season.
While her place in Renee Slegers’ long-term vision remains to be fully defined, there’s a clear sense that more is still to come from Laia. Her raw intensity and fearless approach are qualities Arsenal can build on. Finding the right system and defensive partner will be key, and when that happens, I hope she will be ready to step into a bigger role.
Leah Williamson. She Is Arsenal Football Club.
Leah Williamson’s words after the Champions League final - “My Arsenal, my club”, say so much about what she means to this team, and what this team means to her. That moment, tears streaming as she embraced Renée Slegers, spoke volumes about her emotional connection to the team and the journey. She is not just any player, she is the heart of Arsenal Football Club.
This season, she’s been a steady presence, someone the team can always rely on. Her leadership is calm but fierce, guiding the squad through every challenge. It’s hard to picture Arsenal without her, and I don’t think she’ll ever play anywhere else.
With Steph Catley alongside her, Leah’s game has reached another level. She controls the tempo, holds the defence together, and never gives an inch. She’s more than just a captain - she’s the backbone of this team.
Think of how much this means to you, as a Gooner. Then think on what this must mean to them in particular - walking out to see the streets heaving with red and white, celebrating and chanting and cheering, with/for them and their team, their childhood club.What. Steph Catley - Where Versatility Meets Excellence.
Steph Catley has been one of the unsung heroes this season, not just for Arsenal, but across the entire league. Stepping into a role that wasn’t her natural position and making it her own required more than just skill; it demanded heart and determination.
With her steady presence, precise left foot, and calmness in the toughest moments, she’s been the perfect partner for Leah. Alongside the others in the back four, she’s helped build a fortress — one even Barcelona couldn’t breach. It’s unlikely Renee will change a system that’s working so well. Steph will be vital next season - a leader in a defence that, although maturing, still carries plenty of fire and fight. As emerging talent develops and fresh signings are expected, Arsenal’s defence appears well-positioned for the future — with Steph at its core, leading with resilience and unwavering resolve.
Passion Personified - Our Katie.
Katie McCabe was the player with the most minutes in this season’s Champions League campaign, and it’s easy to see why. It’s hard to imagine Arsenal without her — consistent, reliable, a true workhorse and fighter. Calling her passionate doesn’t even cover it.
She might grab the headlines, but somehow still feels underrated — rock-solid at the back, relentless for the badge, scoring, creating, and linking effortlessly with her teammates. She’s everything Arsenal could ask for in a full back.
Patience and Potential - Jenna Nighswonger.
Jenna Nighswonger didn’t get as much time on the pitch this season as many had hoped. But when she came on against Brighton, even in tough circumstances, it was clear she’s ready to compete at this level.
Backing up McCabe is no easy task - she’s one of the best left-backs in the game, but having Jenna in the squad adds valuable depth. She has the potential to be a solid option, especially when the team needs an extra attacking threat from full-back. Earlier in the season, her time in midfield didn’t quite click, but with more experience and a settled system, that role could be worth revisiting. There’s genuine curiosity about what she’ll bring next season.
Amanda (Mandy) Ilestedt - A Chapter Closing with Respect.
Amanda Ilestedt arrived and did exactly what was needed - something that will always be remembered as she moves on this summer. Although her minutes on the pitch were limited, the reason was a beautiful one: starting a family. Her goal against Chelsea remains a highlight, and whenever called upon, she performed with calm, steady reliability. Even when pushed up front late in the FA Cup against Liverpool, a game that didn’t go Arsenal’s way, her effort was unwavering. It’s tough to see her go, but this feels like the right moment. She leaves with respect and gratitude from everyone at the club.

Katie Reid - The Future is Bright.
Katie Reid earned more playing time this season, deservedly so, even if it meant filling in out of position at right-back. Centre-back is where I believe she truly belongs, and every time she’s stepped onto the pitch, she’s shown maturity and skill beyond her years. That moment coming on for Leah, with a clever dummy that left a player sliding, revealed her confidence and composure. Her assist for Russo against Villa was another highlight, even if the team didn’t get the desired result. Arsenal’s academy is lucky to have players like Katie, and with the right support, she’s set to become a regular fixture in the team.

The Diamond Who Cost Nothing - Super Mariona Caldentey.
Mariona Caldentey, known affectionately as ‘Super Mario’, has been Arsenal’s player of the season and possibly the best signing in quite some time (if not ever).
Players like her don’t come around often. She helped lift the club’s biggest trophy with style and grace, always showing up in the moments that matter. Her blend of humility and confidence makes her a true midfield maestro. The Ballon d’Or feels like an accolade she deserves. And the best part? She didn’t cost Arsenal a penny. They do say, sometimes the greatest value is found without a price tag.
It’s rare for a player to feel this essential, this fast, but Mariona made it look easy.
Our Captain, Our Heart — Kimmy Little.
Kim Little embodies everything this club stands for.
She’s given her all every single time she’s stepped on the pitch, delivering in the biggest moments and helping secure the greatest prizes. She may avoid the spotlight, but this moment belonged to her — fully deserved, deeply earned. Kim’s collection of trophies speaks volumes about her devotion, but deep down, she deserves even more silverware. She plays with ease, class, and professionalism - quiet but immensely powerful. Leading by example, she teaches everyone what it means to be an Arsenal player. Though the club and fans fear the day she chooses to hang up her boots, we’re certain she’ll have given every last ounce of herself on the pitch until then.
? “But Kim Little’s career is more than her technical brilliance. Her journey has been fuelled by her resilience, determination and quiet leadership. Through it all, Little has never craved the spotlight, but it finds her anyway.”Read the full piece by Angharad Evans now on… pic.twitter.com/NRZ6ZtbV0i

The Engine That Drives Us - Frida Leonhardsen Maanum.
Frida Maanum’s contributions might not always be the flashiest, but her importance is undeniable. She does the hard work, carries the team through transitions, creates chances, scores goals, and sparks momentum. When Arsenal are at their best, she’s usually at the heart of it all. Her new contract is fully deserved. She knows the team and system inside and out, and her relentless drive never lets up. There’s a quiet strength in her game: no fuss, just consistent impact. She doesn’t seek recognition, but she has earned every bit of it. Arsenal hope she keeps driving the team forward for years to come.
One of Our Greats - Super Wally.
This season may not have brought Lia Walti the minutes she’s used to, but her importance remains unchanged. She has been through the club’s highs, heartbreaks, and rebuilds, and now finally has the trophy she deserves. Her calmness, intelligence, and leadership have anchored this team for years. None of it has gone unnoticed. Lia has helped shape the Arsenal of today, and whatever lies ahead, her impact is already etched into the club’s story. Fans hope there are many more chapters to come.
Talent Like Yours Doesn’t Disappear - Vicky P.
Victoria Pelova’s return is a relief after the heartbreak of injury last season. She was flying, a star in every sense, and has been missed more than most realise. What makes her return even more special is her connection to the club - she’s not just playing for Arsenal, she’s a fan like the rest of us. Her talent speaks volumes, but there is still so much more to come. The club has yet to see the full extent of her potential, and everyone should be excited to watch that unfold, especially under the leadership of Renee Slegers.
Patience and Promise - KCC.
Kyra Cooney-Cross didn’t get much time on the pitch toward the end of the season, but that doesn’t diminish what she’s shown so far. She’s a serious talent, with vision, energy, and a passing range that stands out even in a strong squad. When called upon, she delivered, and more importantly, she has kept showing up, learning, growing, and putting in the work behind the scenes. That commitment matters.
Her time will come again, and when it does, she’ll be ready. Kyra is part of the future of Arsenal’s midfield and that future looks bright.
Always Arsenal - Meado.
For as long as I can recall, Beth Mead has been a reliable force at Arsenal — undeniably deserving of every accolade. This season her role shifted at times, but she showed up when it counted - scoring goals, creating chances, and stepping up whenever needed. That assist for the crucial Stina Blackstenius goal will always be remembered.
Whether starting or coming off the bench, she gave everything every time. When the going got tough, she never stopped fighting. Saying we’re proud doesn’t even begin to capture it.

Trusting the Journey - Rosa Kafaji.
Rosa Kafaji’s talent is undeniable, and the belief in her potential remains strong. Her time to shine will come; there’s no doubt about that. Every time she steps on the pitch, she gives everything she has. Sometimes patience is the hardest part of the journey, but whatever lies ahead, I hope we can look forward to many more seasons watching her wear that Arsenal badge.
Overcoming Setbacks - Lina Hurtig.
Lina Hurtig’s time at the club didn’t unfold as hoped, but football isn’t always a fairy tale. She delivered crucial moments, including her goal against Juventus in the early days that helped pave the way to the Champions League trophy. Injuries have been a tough hurdle, but the future is still hers to shape.
Our Secret Weapon - Caitlin Foord.
Caitlin Foord has been quietly exceptional this season, earning my personal nod as the most underrated player of the year. Every time she steps onto the pitch, her passion for the club shines through, and this season she’s truly come into her own. That unforgettable celebration after her tackle in the Champions League final is a moment etched in my memory forever. She brings energy, skill, and relentless determination when it matters most. Though the praise may not always find her, Caitlin has become an indispensable part of the team — and she unquestionably deserves every bit of recognition.
Where She Belongs - Chloe Kelly.
Chloe Kelly spoke so often about the feeling of coming home to Arsenal, without realising we felt exactly the same. We saved her, and she saved us. It’s been a perfect fit from the start. I truly hope this isn’t the end, because there’s still so much more we can achieve together. When Arsenal set out to find a winger, I wasn’t sure who could fill that role — but they found everything and more in Chloe Kelly. A rapid, incisive winger who knows how to find the back of the net. Without her, this season wouldn’t have been what it was. She loves this club, and we love her right back.
Our Striker, Our Future - Alessia Russo.
There’s no surprise Alessia Russo quickly became a vital figure in the squad, our go-to striker and a true big-game player. She was always destined for greatness. From the moment she joined, it was clear she belonged. She’s settled seamlessly into her role under Renee’s guidance, bringing relentless energy, intelligent runs, and a knack for scoring. Watching her connect with teammates on the pitch shows how much she’s grown, and this is just the start. There’s even more to come. Securing her on a free was nothing short of a masterstroke — now, it’s hard to picture an Arsenal side without Alessia in it. With her at the front, we don’t just compete — we believe.
When It’s Clutch, It’s Stina.
All season long, Stina Blackstenius has been the team’s clutch player, rising to the occasion whenever it counts — a pattern she established long before. Watching her score the winning goal in the Champions League final shouldn’t have been a surprise; it was exactly what everyone should have expected. From the Conti Cup final to fierce battles against Manchester City, people shouldn’t underestimate her. Her deep connection to the club makes it hard to imagine Arsenal without her. That goal in Lisbon will forever be part of Arsenal’s story - the night we became the best in the world.
The Boss. Our Renee.
Renee Slegers is more than a coach - she’s the heartbeat of the team. What she’s delivered this season goes beyond trophies: it’s belief, passion, and a sense of family. Winning Europe’s biggest prize was a dream come true, but watching her bring everyone together, understand each player, and build something truly special - that’s the real victory.
This is just the beginning, and the team is right behind her, every step of the way, because they believe in what she’s creating.
With Renee at the helm, you get the feeling Arsenal’s greatest days are still to come.
