Arsenal offer £60m+ package to land Gyökeres

Arsenal have submitted a bid worth around £60m for Sporting Clube de Portugal striker Viktor Gyökeres.

The Gunners are also offering a five-year deal with a £10m signing bonus and £7m annual salary, which works out at around £135,000 a week. 

Arsenal outlined their offer during their summit with the striker’s agent, Hasan Cetinkaya, in Lisbon last weekend. 

Gyokeres' verbal pact between his represenative and Sporting CP last summer means the striker coveted by Gunners sporting diretor Andrea Bertha can exit the Portugues capital for some way below his €100m release clause.

The flipside of the agreement was Gyokeres would remain in Lisbon for the full 2024-25 campaign - with Gyokeres firing Sporting to a league and cup double this term.

However, it now means Gyokeres can depart for a figure well below his true market value - with Arsenal intent on landing the 26-year-old Stockholm-born striker.
