England vs Italy Euro 2025 semi-final preview: How to watch, TV, streaming, kick-off time, latest team news and much more
All you need to know about Women's Euro 2025 semi-final between England and Italy
Prologue
An audience of more than eight million people expected to watch England’s semi-final against Italy on Tuesday evening - more viewers than the 7.3 million peak audience that watched the quarter-final.
Sarina Wiegman's Lionesses still remain in the tournament after a thrilling comeback against Sweden that culminated in a bizarre penalty shootout victory, after more misses/saves than goals.
The Lionesses became the first team in Euros history to turn around a two goal deficit in a knockout game, ensuring they have reached the last four of every major tournament since 2015.
That England beat the Swedes, Stina Blackstenius and all, was more down to character and resolve than any outstanding football, after the Scandinavians raced to a 2-0 goal in the first half.
That was before Wiegman brought on Arsenal's rockstar Chloe Kelly, as well as Euro 2022 top scorer and player of the tournament Beth Mead, alongside AWFC's prodigiously talented teenager Michelle Agyemang - joining Gunners striker Alessia Russo on the pitch, as well Lionesses captain Leah Williamson.
It was 2022 winning goalscorer Kelly who set up the indomitable Lucy Bronze to halve the deficit, prior to playing in Mead, who crossed for Agyemang to equalise a minute later, as the holders staged an unlikely but enthraling comeback.
Cue penalties after 30 minutes extra time couldn't separate the teams, notable for the fact the legendary Williamson was forced off after falling awkwardly on heer ankle.
Thankfully England somehow made it over the line in the shootout 3-2, despite being on the verge on an exit three times. Yet each time, with keeper Hannah Hampton's help, as well as a loss of Swedish nerve, Wiegman's side finally made it through to the last four to set up a semi-final clash with dark horses Italy on Tuesday evening.
For their part, Italy have been transformed since they crashed out of the 2023 World Cup at the group stages, with boss Andrea Soncin breathing new life into a moribund team.
It promises to be a gripping contest.

What the coaches say
Sarina Wiegman, England coach:
"From the first minute, you want to play football better and [be] a little more balanced, but [against Sweden] we needed something else.
"Let's see what we need on Tuesday. We will start working on our plan against Italy and hopefully we can keep it a little bit calmer."
Andrea Soncin, Italy coach:
"We know England well. They have experience, especially when it comes to major tournaments, but they're not unbeatable.
"They have a team full of quality, especially in attack. We have the utmost respect for them, for what they've shown over the years and what they continue to show with so many talented players.
"But at the same time, we're fully aware of what we're building, our identity and our strengths. We want to keep chasing this dream and stay in it until the very end."
