Arsenal U21 2-3 Fulham U21: Goals from Charles Sagoe Jnr and Ismeal Kabia fail to prevent defeat
Max Porter's Arsenal U21 side lose to Fulham U21s at Meadow Park in their opening Premier League2 clash of 2025-26
A brace from Fulham U21 striker Aaron Loupalo-Bi sealed victory for the visitors against Arsenal U21's in the opening match of the Premier League2 season
On a sweltering evening at Meadow Park Fulham raced into a two goal lead through Tom Olyott and Loupalo-Bi - as the former fired low past Tommy Setford for 1-0 on 13 minutes, before Loupalo-Bi added his side's second, and first of the night three minutes later.
However, Max Porter's Young Guns, who contained players with first team experience in Maldini Kacurri, Josh Nichols, Ismeal Kabia, Charles Sagoe Jnr, and Setford, rallied, to pull a goal back before the half hour mark, when Sagoe Jnr emphatically slotted home in the box to reduce the deficit.
In an entertaining opening, Arsenal levelled for 2-2 through Kabia shortly afterwards, when slotting home from close range in an entertaining clash.
With the tempo understandably dropping after the break, as the sun set over Boreham Wood's North Bank, a hard-fought clash looked to be ending in a draw, prior to Loupalo-Bi grabbing the winner with 15 mintues remaining.
