Arsenal Women are set to hold the record for the highest six attendances at Barclays Women’s Super League matches, with the Emirates Stadium sold-out once again for the Gunners’ clash with Spurs.

Arsenal’s last game before the international break, a 3-1 win over Manchester United, was hosted at a sold-out Emirates, and the Gunners will play in front of another full house against Tottenham as they continue their WSL campaign.

This latest attendance feat marks the third time that Arsenal Women have sold out the 60,000-plus capacity stadium, and the first occasion where English football’s most successful women’s side have sold out back-to-back matches at the Emirates.

Head coach Jonas Eidevall said: “It’s incredible, it’s great, and it very much shows that it’s not a one-off. It’s less than 12 months ago that we sold out the stadium for the first time for the Women’s team against Wolfsburg in the Champions League semi-final. Everyone felt what a huge achievement that was and now it’s about having a great football team.

“We’re not only searching for the highs, but we’re also searching for consistency, we’re searching for sustainability, we’re searching for creating a culture at Emirates Stadium week-in, week-out, and this shows great progress in doing so.

So, now we all need to play our part in that, especially us as a team, to deliver a performance that matches the great support from the fans, and I think we can lift each other to new heights.”

Tickets for this North London Derby were included in the Arsenal Women season ticket and Home Advantage Pack, which gave fans the opportunity to watch all five WSL games at Emirates Stadium this season. An additional fixture against Leicester has also been moved to the Emirates, but is not included in the Home Advantage Pack.
