Memories of Lisbon will stay forever, and we’ve commemorated them already in a special souvenir fanzine.
Now, it’s back to Women’s Super League action.
Friday nights in Dagenham, a random kick-off time at Leigh Sports Village, and London City Lionesses signing, well, everyone.
The WSL is here again and this season looks particularly appetising.
We’ve got the perfect accompaniment for your AWFC viewing and supporting as 2025-26 gets underway- a new issue of the Gooner Fanzine, dedicated both to Arsenal Women, and of course the Lionesses.
What a summer of success it has been, culminating with a nerve-shredding Euro 2025 final in Basel. Chloe Kelly, again, Leah Williamson, again, Michelle Agyemang!
The newly long-term contracted Alessia Russo. And spare a thought for Mariona Caldentey.
A huge thank you to all our writers including Layth Yousif, Jamie Spangher, Izzy Gilligan, Joseph Rosedon, Divija Chhabra, Suzy Lycett, Henry Waddon, Adam Salter, Richard Smith, Claudia Loy, Daisy Goodhand, Stephan Georgiou, and Lumi Lehmuskallio.
Inside our pages we have Layth's first-person piece of his trip there is enough to make any organised person (myself very much included) hide behind the sofa, before our talented team of writers both serenade the Lionesses and discuss how their success will feed into Arsenal’s bid for league glory.
We’ve also got a very important interview with former Arsenal U21 goalkeeper Maddison Millington-Stanbury, that myself and photographer Suzy Lycett are particularly proud of.
As for GW, we’ll be continuing to cover AWFC home and away, up and down the country and in Europe too.
If you haven’t already, I can heartily recommend getting your hands on a copy of our souvenir Champions League winners fanzine, which comes in a larger A4 size - the perfect momento for the perfect day.
Why not take take a look at our GW merchandise here.
Finally, a heartfelt thank you for all of the kind feedback regarding our UWCL souvenir issue, and for everyone’s efforts to Save The Gooner this summer.
For the fans, by the fans.
See you at the Emirates.
