Eight Arsenal players honoured at 2025 PFA Awards
Midfielder Mariona Caldentey scooped the Gunners' biggest prize of the night by being named as the PFA women's player of the year after a dazzling first campaign in Arsenal colours.
The Spaniard capped her first year in N5 with a Champions League winner's medal following her summer switch from Barcelona, and her performances in the WSL have now seen her peers vote her as the league's best player
.Mariona - who was recently named among seven Arsenal nominees for the Ballon d'Or - was also one of four Gunners players in the WSL Team of the Year, with Emily Fox, captain Kim Little and Golden Boot winner Alessia Russo giving Arsenal the highest number of players in the XI.
By contrast, WSL champions Chelsea had just two players involved.
Recent Arsenal arrival Olivia Smith was named the young player of the year thanks to her displays for Liverpool, for whom she scored seven times last season.
Elsewhere, three Arsenal men's players were named in the Premier League Team of the Year, with centre-backs Gabriel and William Saliba joined by Declan Rice in the XI after impressive individual campaigns.
It marks a second successive year that all three players have been named in the team, with Saliba making it a personal hat-trick, having also been named in 2022-23.
Saliba and Gabriel marshalled the strongest defence in the 2024-25 Premier League, with Arsenal the only side to concede less than a goal per game as the duo kept 11 league clean sheets while playing together.
Meanwhile, Rice caps a solid domestic campaign during which he scored four times, proving to be a rare constant in an injury-ravaged campaign, with only the ever-present David Raya making more top-flight appearances.
With the men's and women's sides both finishing as runners-up in their respective leagues, 2025-26 could yet see more silverware coming Arsenal's way.
