Arsenal Women play behind-closed-doors friendly in Germany

The Gunners faced Eintracht Frankfurt at Adidas' headquarters

Arsenal Women continued their pre-season preparation with a behind-closed-doors friendly against Eintracht Frankfurt on Saturday.

A photo posted by the club of Arsenal players after the game appeared to show a 3-0 scoreline in the Gunners' favour on the scoreboard in the background.

The Gunners have been based at Adidas' headquarters in Germany for a pre-season training camp, including one fixture against the Frauen Bundesliga side.

Amanda Ilestedt came up against her former club, having left Arsenal on a free transfer to join Frankfurt earlier this summer.

Renée Slegers' side are without Leah Williamson, Kim Little, Lia Walti and Jessie Gale in Germany, whilst Laila Harbert is in talks over a loan move.

The Gooner understands Arsenal are pursuing loan deals for Viv Lia, Cecily Wellesley-Smith and Gale for the upcoming season. The trio all signed professional contracts earlier this year.

Arsenal will host Women's Super League rivals West Ham later this month in a friendly at Meadow Park.
