Arsenal beat Spurs 3-1 to win the North London derby on Saturday lunchtime to prove North London Is Red.

To the delight of jubilant home fans goals from Thomas Partey, Gabriel Jesus and Granit Xhaka sealed the victory after Harry Kane had levelled the opener with a spot-kick. 

Mikel Arteta's Gunners were simply too good for the visitors, who had Emerson Royal sent off in the 62nd minute with the score at 2-1.

Aaron Ramsdale (GK) – 7/10 – Denied Richarlison early on but had a relatively quiet game given the magnitude of the match

Ben White (RB) – 7/10 – Wasn't his best game in a Gunners shirt espeically when getting sucked in too centrally at times, but he certainly played his part in a memorable victory 

William Saliba (CB) – 9/10 – Outstanding from the young French defender. If France played England in the World Cup I know who our money would be on in a battle between the Gunners talented centre-back and the England captain...

Gabriel (CB) – 6/10 –  Not at his usual levels when giving away the penalty but was a walk in the park once the vistors when down to ten men

Oleksandr Zinchenko (LB) – 6.5/10 – A little rusty but still effective

Thomas Partey (DM) – 8/10 – Excellent strike to put the Gunners ahead and revelled in the heat of battle

Granit Xhaka (CM) – 8//10 – Arsenal's Redemption Man. It's becoming a habit for Xhaka to score these days in his far more advanced role. No-one in the Premier League has shown more reislience since October 2019. Another heartwarming afternoon for the tenacious midfielder

Martin Odegaard (CM) – 6/10 – Not his most influential match but wasn't for the lack of effort 

Bukayo Saka (RW) – 8.5/10 – Running duel between Saka and Ivan Perisic whihc he eventually triumphed to provide offensive support down the right flank in n ever letting the Spurs backline settle. 

Gabriel Jesus (ST) – 8.5/10 – Absolutely wonderful to see the Brazil star relish the fight in hbis first NLD as much as he offered a goalscoring threat. His goal from close range was testament to the fact he's a fox in the box as much as he is a thoroughbred striker 

Gabriel Martinelli (LW) – 8/10 – On the receiving end of Emerson's dreaful challenge that led to the Spurs player being handed a red card. Another powerful all-action display that purrs with passion, energy and comittment
