Player ratings:
Hannah Hampton 8.5 /10
Superb long ball to pick out Alessia Russo in the build-up to Lauren James’ opening goal.
Alex Greenwood 7.5/10
Moved to left-back by Sarina Wiegman in a move that certainly paid off.
Jess Carter 8/10
Swapped positions with Greenwood from the France game and battled well, putting in some strong tackles.
Leah Williamson 7.5/10
A couple of misplaced passes were quickly recovered by the England captain, who helped the Lionesses keep their first clean sheet of the tournament.
Lucy Bronze 7.5/10
Struggled against France but a much more routine outing in Zurich for the Chelsea right-back.
Georgia Stanway 8/10
Superb technique to find the net with a half volley from range in first half stoppage time.
Keira Walsh 8/10
Delivered some excellent crosses in a much-improved midfield performance for the Lionesses.
Lauren Hemp 8/10
Came flying out of the blocks, causing Kerstin Casparij all sorts of problems down England’s right side.
Ella Toone 8/10
Replaced Beth Mead, with Lauren James moving out wide. Made it 4-0 with a low finish past Daphne van Domselaar.
Lauren James 8.5/10
A superb strike to put England in front and calm the nation’s nerves, before a more simple finish to complete her brace. England’s most important player on her day.
Alessia Russo 8.5/10
A hat-trick of assists, with excellent work to supply James, Stanway and Toone in another hard-working display. Should have been (and deserved to be) on the scoresheet herself, heading wide on more than one occasion, and had a header disallowed for an offside in the build-up.

Replaced James out wide and helped close out a comfortable win.
