A superb strike to put England in front and calm the nation’s nerves, before a more simple finish to complete her brace. England’s most important player on her day.

A hat-trick of assists, with excellent work to supply James, Stanway and Toone in another hard-working display. Should have been (and deserved to be) on the scoresheet herself, heading wide on more than one occasion, and had a header disallowed for an offside in the build-up.
