UCL Preview: Latest PSG vs Arsenal Odds Ahead of Crucial Second Leg Clash
We have two true classics in this Champions League semi-final week, with two second-leg fixtures involving Arsenal, PSG, Barcelona, and Inter Milan.
Tuesday, PSG took a 1-0 advantage into halftime thanks to an early strike from Ousmane Dembélé and held off a furious second-half attack from Arsenal. However, all is not lost for the Gunners, and with just a 1-0 deficit heading into this week’s second leg meeting, London will be hopeful that they can bounce back to provide a UCL shocker.

PSG vs. Arsenal UCL Preview
Arsenal will travel to Paris with a glimmer of optimism after surviving the early storm in the first leg. They did, in fact, get set-piece advantages that they can target next week, and despite PSG's late opportunities, they were the better team in the second half. The fact that Bukayo Saka has remained unmentioned is, nonetheless, highly indicative.
PSG managed to make the Gunners' top scorer practically invisible. Only one shot was taken by Saka, and it was a somewhat speculative one from 25 meters away. Martinelli and Leandro Trossard combined for six of Arsenal's ten shot attempts, including all three of their most dangerous ones. Despite his good work in the ball progression game (nine progressive carries and 4-for-7 on 1-on-1s), the majority of their threat likely came from the other two players.
Saka has to be more active in the penalty area if Arsenal are to have any chance of winning this match, barring a set-piece jackpot.

Luis Enrique's squad lost their most recent home league match against Nice, spoiling their chance togo undefeated in a season. They had already won Ligue 1. Even though they had alreadyaccomplished their primary goal with domestic success, Arsenal could take heart from the fact that PSG's starting eleven suffered a crushing home loss last time out.
Liverpool defeated PSG 1-0 in the first leg of the round of 16 and Atletico Madrid won their group atthe Parc des Princes, Aston Villa defeated them 3-2 in the second leg of their quarterfinal match, even though they lost on aggregate, and these are all red flags that the Gunners could take for a confidence boost.
While Arteta will face new challenges and potentially new line-ups, he will have precedents to draw from as he formulates his strategy.
When competing away from home, Arsenal have racked up some stunning victories in thetournament. They defeated Sporting 5–1, PSV Eindhoven 7, and Real Madrid 2-1 at the Bernabeu. And we must not forget that in October, Arsenal defeated PSG 2-0 in the league round of the competition.

Unsurprisingly, odds from Gambling.com place PSG, the home side, as the betting favourites. Wemust note, however, both squads have plus-money odds, proving that oddsmakers aren’t overlyconfident on either side. It’s also interesting to highlight the nature of Champions League football and how anything can happen in such high-pressure games.
Could Arsenal’s Away Form Prove Valuable?
Even though Arsenal's play has been decent for most of the season, they have fallen behind in thePremier League championship chase in the last several weeks, winning just one in their previous four matches.
That said, they have a record of 8 wins, seven draws, and two losses when playing league gamesaway from home. Even this season, the Gunners lone Champions League away loss was 1-0 against Inter Milan, a team they faced in the semi-finals.
The biggest accusation levelled against Arteta is his inability to lead Arsenal to a trophy. Arsenal's scoreless record in their last seven semi-final meetings across all competitions (L5 D2) is sure todampen their spirits going into the contest, especially when faced with such a domineering squad like Paris.

PSG vs. Arsenal: Prediction
PSG's chances of making it to the final are about 78% according to the sportsbook odds. This is very logical given that (a) they will be playing at home and protecting a lead, and (b) they have arguably been Europe's top team since December. They won at Liverpool and Arsenal in their previous two Champions League games, and they outscored their opponents 28-8 in that time. This is a terrific squad with top-notch management.
Paris’ recent form hasn't been perfect, though; they only displayed best-in-Europe form for a quarter of Tuesday's game, let Aston Villa score three goals (and almost a big lead), and have only managed one point in their last two league matches.
Following in the footsteps of last weekend's Arsenal ladies, who came back from behind to defeat aquality French team, they will give themselves a shot. Predicting whether or not they will accomplishit is the difficult part, but ultimately, I envision this fixture ending in a 1-1 draw with both teams scoring and PSG advancing on aggregate.
