Former Chelsea defender David Luiz has taken the blame for Arsenal's 3-0 loss at Manchester City - but insists he wants to extend his time in north London.

Brought on as a substitute in the 24th minute by boss Mikel Arteta after an injury to Pablo Mari, the Brazilian's error led to Raheem Sterling's opener moments before the break, before he saw red for bringing down Riyad Mahrez inside the box 240 seconds after the restart.

Luiz only joined Arsenal last summer - moving from Stamford Bridge last summer in a deal worth up to £24m - but was left on the bench at the Etihad amid confusion surrounding his future.

Luiz looked unconvincing when he came on, producing a litany of errors in an awful 25-minute spell as 10-man Arsenal suffered a dispiriting defeat to Pep Guardiola's City on the day the Premier League resumed.

"I should have taken a different decision in the last two months but I didn't," he told Sky Sports.

"All about my contract, if I stay here or not. I have 14 days to be here and that's it. I should have tried to decide my future as early as possible, but I didn't.

"I don't want to use that as an alibi or excuse, it's my fault - that's it. I love to be here. That's why I continue to train hard.

"It's not the team's fault, it was my fault. I think the team did well, especially with 10 men, the coach is amazing, the players did amazing, it's just my fault."

Of course you want to stay LuiZ but sorry, you're an embarrassment to the Club and costing us points, so please just piss off. Go play for Galatasaray or someone and take MeZut OZil with you.
