Emiliano Martinez – 7.5 – Commanded his area well and made some important saves late on in a solid display. 

Shkodran Mustafi – 8 – Looked solid and assured at the back. 

Rob Holding – 9 – Headed away countless crosses in an immense display at the back for the Gunners. 

Kieran Tierney – 7.5 – Asked to play in the back three and looked solid throughout before coming off with cramp. 

Hector Bellerin – 6.5 – A solid enough display from the defender. 

Bukayo Saka – 7 – Another lively performance from the exciting youngster who continues to show why he’s one of the first names on the team sheet under Mikel Arteta. 

Granit Xhaka – 7.5  Returned from injury and showed just how much he’d been missed with a composed display in the middle of the park. 

Dani Ceballos – 5 – Looked a bit off the pace in the south coast heat as he failed to create anything from deep. 

Nicolas Pepe – 4 – A quiet display from the Ivorian before being taken off just after the hour. 

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang – 7.5 – Looked sharp when Arsenal broke forward in a lively display. Despite being just one goal away from 50 in the Premier League, he was unselfish throughout. 

Eddie Nketiah – 7.5 – Got the all-important opening goal and worked tirelessly for his team before being taken off. 

Substitutes 

Joe Willock – 7 – Looked lively and scored the goal that secured the win. 

Sead Kolasinac – 6 – Looked solid after replacing Tierney. 

Ainsley Maitland-Niles – 5 – Didn't impact the game after coming on. 

Alexandre Lacazette – 6 – Caused problems after coming on.
