Arsenal beat Norwich City 4-0 in an emphatic display at the Emirates on Wednesday evening to move above Spurs into seventh place in the Premier League.

A brace from Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang aided by Granit Xhaka’s first goal of the season and a debut strike from Cedric Soares sealed a good day for the Gunners after teen starlet Bukayo Saka put pen to paper on a new long term deal earlier in the day.

The triumph saw the north Londoners grab their third win in a week after two wins on the road against Southampton and Sheffield United in the FA Cup banished two poor results against Manchester City and Brighton.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang: Scored a brace and looked lively throughout the game, especially when robbing Canaries keeper Tim Krul of the ball for his opener.  Always dangerous and showed good movement. The sooner Arsenal sign him up on a new deal the better.

Kieran Tierney: Sound defensively and a threat going forward. Good to see him getting a run of games after his long-term shoulder injury. Every little counts from the former Celtic defender…

Granit Xhaka: Good to see Xhaka net his first goal of the season after many had written him off following his tantrum against Crystal Palace last October which saw him stripped of the captaincy. Increasingly influential since returning from an ankle injury picked up at Manchester City.

Cedric Soares: Nice to see him grab a debut goal which also delighted his boss Arteta – and Gunners everywhere. Hopefully he can show the quality which persuaded Arsenal to sign him.
