Emiliano Martinez  7.5 – Commanded his area well when the Gunners had their back to the wall in the second half. 

Shkodran Mustafi  8.5 – The German continues to improve under Mikel Arteta with another impressive display at the back. 

David Luiz  7.5 - A commanding and much-improved performance at the heart of the defence. 

Sead Kolasinac  6 – The defender looked shaky on the left of the back three, but he helped Arsenal stay solid and see out the win. 

Cedric Soares  7.5 – A solid display on his first start for Arsenal. 

Kieran Tierney  7 – The Scot did well to keep a handle on the dangerous Traore and helped create Saka’s goal when he broke forward. 

Granit Xhaka  7 – Provided a solid shield for Arsenal’s defence when they came under pressure. 

Dani Ceballos  7.5 – The midfielder put in a busy performance and he hassled his Wolves counterparts throughout. 

Bukayo Saka  7 – Despite a shaky opening to the game, the youngster scored a brilliant goal to give Arsenal the lead. 

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang  7 – Had little impact going forward but worked hard to help the team defensively. 

Eddie Nketiah  6.5 - Worked hard up top as he pressed Wolves and tried to hold up play. He was unlucky not to open the scoring too. 

Substitutes 

Ainsley Maitland-Niles  7 – Defended well after replacing Tierney. 

Joe Willock – 7.5  Drove Arsenal forward and did really well to set up the second goal. 

Hector Bellerin – 6.5 – A solid display off the bench. 

Alexandre Lacazette – 8 – Took his chance to score the all-important second goal. 

Lucas Torreira – 6.5 – Battled well in midfield.
