Could Ivan Toney's return to England fold signal £30m Arsenal bid
Thomas Tuchel has selected former Arsenal target Ivan Toney - could Three Lions inclusion spark £30m Gunners bid
Arsenal are weighing up offering Al Ahli a £30m bid for Ivan Toney when the summer transfer window opens again in June.
The misfiring Gunners need a proven centre-forward that can score goals week in week out and Toney fits the bill perfectly, despite his soujourn in Saudi Arabia, following his £40m move from Brentford last season.
Arsenal had the striker firmly in their sights last summer, but, strangely, allowed the then Bees striker to leave the Premier League for pastures new, a decison that came back to haunt them after suffering injuries to key personel that cost Mikel Arteta's side dearly in the run-in this term.
England boss Tuchel praised Toney saying: "He deserves to be with us and I am convinced because he scored over 20 goals for his team this season. He won a major title with the Asian Champions League, he had a big contribution with goals and assists."
With the Gunners new sporting diretor Andrea Bertha aiming to hit the ground running when the window opens, could 29-year-old Toney be making a sensational return to English football at the Emirates.
