Arsenal preparing fresh Gyökeres bid
Arsenal are expected to return with a new offer for Viktor Gyökeres after Sporting rejected their opening approach.
The Gunners long-term target has "officially" rejected a reunion with former Sporting head coach Ruben Amorim at Manchester United, after the North Londoners made their interest clear.
According to reports coming out of Portugal, the Old Trafford outfit have been made aware of Gyokeres' decision to snub a move to Old Trafford after talks with the player's agents.
With Sporting demanding at least £60m, doubts have been raised that cash-strapped United could afford to sign Gyokeres ahead of Arsenal who have a transfer war chest this summer.
However, sporting director Andrea Berta needs to move fast as former club Atlético Madrid are also interested.
