Arsenal have announced the financial results for the 2021/22 season.

The figures showed a £45.5m loss for the year after taxation, the principal reason for the loss being the clubs’ failure to qualify for European football.

It was the first time in 25 years that the men’s first team had failed to qualify for European competition, causing significant financial losses.

The lack of television revenue for the UEFA games not televised equated to broadcasting revenues falling to £146m, the figure in comparison was £184.4m the year prior.

Arsenal shared on the club’s official website their reassurance for improved revenue to come down to the Gunners’ involvement in the Europa League this year.

The encouraging start to this season where Champions League football looks possible should form continue, which would provide huge financial gain.
