Arteta's provides injury update on Kai Havertz, Declan Rice and Martin Odegaard
Manager Mikel Arteta has shared an injury bulletin before the Premier League leaders make the trip to the south coast to take on Brighton & Hove Albion on Wednesday evening.
Speaking at London Colney on Tuesday afternoon Arteta was hoping that Kai Havertz will be fit to play against the Seagulls.
“He’s done a part of the session,” Arteta revealed, adding: “so we will have to wait and see whether he’s available and in which condition.”
Arteta also provided an update on midfielder Declan Rice, who asked to come off during the 2-1 win over Chelsea on Sunday after picking up a knock.
“I hope [he is available]. He was much better today.
“We haven’t really trained because we have only two days to prepare the game. So hopefully, it’s going to be better tomorrow.”
Club captain Martin Odegaard is also aiming to make the trip to the Amex, with Arteta saying, “we have to wait and see how comfortable he is to do certain actions.”
Arteta also confirmed Ben White will be missing from the squad, but David Raya and Max Dowman are both fit.
