Arsenal captain Martin Odegaard has been named as the Premier League player of the month for November/December.

It comes as no surprise with the Norwegian racking up three goals and three assists in the four games he played over the two months.

It was four victories for Arsenal, picking up wins against Chelsea, Wolves, West Ham and Brighton between the madness of the World Cup.

Odegaard has been instrumental to Arsenal’s success this season, playing with total confidence in a well balanced and oiled midfield.

The Wolves game before the World Cup break was a pivotal moment for both Arsenal and Odegaard, as his brace took Arsenal clear at the top of the table before the break.

The Brighton game looked to be a test on paper for the Gunners however the brilliance of Arsenal’s number 8 shone through, providing a sensational assist for Gabi Martinelli’s goal as well as getting on the scoresheet himself.

Arsenal grabbed themselves a real bargain when they captured the signature of Odegaard, there’s no doubt that we will see much more of the star this season.
