Arsenal face three way fight with Chelsea and Liverpool for £30m Premier League striker who won't break bank

Arsenal’s lack of a recognised goalscorer has undermined their pursuit of silverware again

While Arsenal’s lack of a striker has undermined their pursuit of silverware once again - especially with the long-term injuries sustained by Gabriel Jesus and Kai Havertz - a cheaper option has emerged for the Gunners to power Mikel Arteta's side to glory next term.

Despite transfer chief Andrea Berta pushing for a move for Sporting Lisbon’s Viktor Gyokeres - with long-term target Benjamin Sesko still very much in the mix - Brighton are bracing themselves for offers from Arsenal, as well as Chelsea and Liverpool, who are all expressing an interest in their striker Joao Pedro.

The trio of Premier League giants are all keen on strengthening their attacking options this summer and are all interested in the £30m Brazil international.

Pedro has scored 30 goals in 70 games for the south coast outfit since his £30million transfer from Watford nearly two years ago.

Brighton would be reluctant to let one of their prize assets depart - however the canny Seagulls are always willing to do business at the right price previously.

Chelsea have regularly boosted their coffers in recent years, paying substantial fees for the likes of Moises Caicedo and Marc Cucurella - but with Arsenal desperate for a goalscoring striker, the north Londoners would happily offer £30m for the coveted Brazil striker.
