Arsenal's hero at Wolves has insisted Michael Oliver's decision to send off Myles Lewis-Skelly was wrong.

Riccardo Calafiori's 74th minute winner was the difference between the sides after Oliver incorrectly sent off the Gunners teenager in an apalling decision.

Despite Oliver attempting to make amends by sending off Joao Gomes' for a second yellow card after a shocking foul on Jurrien Timber with 20 minutes left, Wolves made it difficult for the visitors - whose triumph means the Gunners still remain on Liverpool's coattails - just.

On Myles Lewis-Skelly's red card:

"From the bench, it was clearly not a red card. I saw him at half-time and he was so disappointed for the team. But in the end we won, so nothing happened. He is a good footballer and a good guy, so we help him a lot."

"It's so important to get this win, as you can imagine. But we want to win the next one as well. We want to continue like this."

On his winning goal:

"I said to my team-mates. I was laughing with them because I can only score goals like this. I must focus on easier things. It's my job, you know."

On the team's mentality in the second half: "The strategy was not to put ourselves in a defensive mode. We wanted to try and win the game and we did."
