Arsenal's 23-year-old Estonian keeper Karl Hein has joined the Bundesliga side on a season-long loan.

Hein had spent the 2024-25 campaign on loan with La Liga side Real Valladolid, making 32 appearances in all competitions.

Hein began his Arsenal career as a scholar and turned pro the year after.

During the 2020-21 season, Hein featured in Mikel Arteta's first-team squad for the first time in a Europa League game.

The club said in a statement: "Everyone at Arsenal wishes Karl all the best for this season with Werder Bremen."

Hein had also spent time in the Championship with Reading during the 2021-22 season, where he made five appearances for the Royals.
