Arsenal Loan Watch: Find out the latest on Gunners loanees near and far

A busy week for the Gunners as League action is back, and players return from their sunny mid-season camps. 

Read Foxy's weekly round-up of Arsenal's loanees.

Monday:

Arthur Okonkwo was nominated for League Two’s November POTM, EFL said “Clean sheets and Arthur Okonkwo’s agility have been key to Crewe Alexandra's recent revival. The 21-year-old Arsenal loanee produced a series of superb reaction saves in the win over Colchester United and another vital stop as Alex won away at Swindon Town.”

Tuesday:

Ovie Ejeheri played 90 minutes in Chelmsford City’s 2-1 loss to Dulwich Hamlet. Meanwhile, Spanish magazine ‘Soy Fiera’ released an article investigating Marcelo Flores’ possible move to Mexican side Club León, a translation can be found on my Twitter @arsenal_loans. Staying in Spain, Nuno Tavares trained with Marseille in their camp in Marbella.

Wednesday:

Rúnar Alex Rúnarsson played 90 minutes in net for Alanyaspor for their first game of preparation against Fenerbahçe. He conceded 4 goals.

Thursday:

Folarin Balogun played the first half of Reims’ training game with fellow Frenchmen FC Sochaux Montbéliard, before the entire team was switched for the last 45 minutes. Nicolas Pépé played Standard Liege in Nice’s Spanish training camp; he got an assist and they won 4-1.

Friday:

Mazeed Ogungbo played 23 minutes for Crawley against Hartlepool in the League, coming on late into the game. He made no tackles and won one ground duel.

Saturday:

Harry Clarke played a full 90 against Cardiff City, Stoke conceded two goals and drew the game. Ejeheri was between the sticks for the second time this week as Chelmsford faced St Albans, they lost 3-0. Omar Rekik was benched, again, for Sparta Rotterdam in their friendly with FC Twente in Spain. Auston Trusty had an offside goal and a near-assist in Birmingham’s goalless draw with Blackpool. Charlie Patino was less successful in front of net for the opposition, taking three shots with none on target. Brooke Norton-Cuffy also played in the Championship on Saturday, creating three chances and bagging an assist as Rotherham lost 3-1 to Bristol City. Tom Smith was also in action  for Bromley, but conceded three goals in a hectic 3-3 draw with Wealdstone.

Sunday:

Nikolaj Möller played 90 minutes for FC Den Bosch against Telstar , he took no shots, and they lost 1-0. Marcelo Flores also played, yet was subbed off in the 61st minute as he slipped and injured his ankle.
