Arsenal seal £64m move for Sporting Lisbon striker Viktor Gyokeres

Sweden international Gyokeres has played in England with Brighton and Coventry City




Arsenal have completed the long-awaited signing of 27-year-old striker Viktor Gyokeres from Sporting Lisbon.

Gyokeres joins the Gunners for a fee of £64m on a five-year contract following two seasons with Sporting, where he scored an incredible 97 goals in 102 appearances.

The Sweden international was the league's top scorer in the last two campaigns, winning back to back league titles and a national cup.

Gyokeres enjoyed a taste of English football with Brighton and Coventry City, helping the Sky Blues reach the Championship play-off final in 2023.

Gyokeres will wear the number 14 shirt and will join up with the Arsenal squad on their tour of Asia.
