Arsenal Set To Target Thuram As We Eye A Future Title Defence

After a number of years of our mentality being questioned and slipping into the success that was the Premier League runners up position, the 2025/26 campaign could see manager Mikel Arteta finally get Arsenal over the line and get his hands on the top flight title.

It has been a great campaign so far, both domestically and in the Champions League campaign, and as we move towards the middle of March we have again found our form just in time for the true business end of the season. With 30 games played, we have just registered three back to back wins again to keep us comfortably in top spot in the table by a clear seven points over nearest chasers Manchester City.Football and casino gaming have long overlapped, but the best football-themed casino games are much more than reskins with a ball and a whistle.

The top releases take the drama of football, such as momentum swings, and pair it with modern mechanics like hold-and-win and stacked multipliers. What’s just as important is that casino platforms regularly refresh their game catalogues. There is no doubt that every top online casino wants to provide its members with the latest games, which is made possible by regular releases in the genre.20 wins tells you all you need to know, particularly our ability this year to pose a greater threat from set pieces and dig in when needed to ensure victory, and with a league best goal difference and only three defeats, it is a testament to our consistency.

With it looking increasingly likely that we will soon wrap up the league title, eyes will slowly be turning to the 2026/27 campaign and what we all hope will be a year of a successful title defence, and part of that will be in again strengthening appropriately in the summer transfer market to give ourselves the best chance possible.

One interesting link already doing the rounds on the speculation rumour mill concerns Juventus midfielder Khephren Thuram. The Turin based French international midfielder has caught eyes since his move to the Italian game and the four capped, 24 year old, has more than established himself as a physically dominant defensive midfielder with good box to box tendencies.Whilst the Old Lady continue to insist that the player is going nowhere and that he remains a key, and intrinsic, part of their long term plans, Arsenal are being naturally linked to him given the season that we look likely to have, but obviously, there are usual and typical mentions for Liverpool and Manchester United.

Since arriving at the Allianz Stadium back in the summer of 2024, Thuram has gone on to make 67 starting appearances for them, with a further 19 showings from the substitutes bench in the league and European competition, with a return of seven goals. The maturity in his play and his defensive discipline has impressed many and given his attacking intent, many feel that he has now grown into a player that is tailored made to shine in the English game.

Whilst the speculation is hardly concrete at this stage and there are plenty of games to go before eyes really turn to summer transfer business, claims that a deal meeting the 45 million Euro mark would likely be acceptable to Juventus, although we could expect at least another 15/20 million Euros in very achievable add on bonus clauses.

Money always talks in the modern game so this is probably a deal that is worth remembering come the end of the season, and although he is contracted up at the club until the summer of 2029 that would only be strong leverage in negotiations.
