Arsenal vs Chelsea: Carabao Cup Predicted Line-Up and Predicted Score
Here's Nick Manfredi's predicted starting XI: Arsenal vs Chelsea as Saka and Kepa decisions made while Calafiori returns
Kepa has played every minute of our cup run so far but he maybe could’ve done better with at least one of Alejandro Garnacho’s goals in the first leg.
It would make sense to play our number one David Raya with a trip to Wembley on the line.
Kai Havertz could start in midfield again, but we probably do still need to manage his minutes a bit and Martin Odegaard looked more like his old self when he came on at Leeds playing a big part in the third and fourth goals.
In attack, Noni Madueke will start again in Bukayo Saka’s absence, and hopefully he’s full of beans after a goal and assist at Elland Road, coupled with the added incentive of sticking it to his former club.
And Viktor Gyokeres should start again given he is currently enjoying a fruitful spell in front of goal after a barren run.
Long may that continue.
Expect a big Emirates atmosphere tonight to push us over the line to the showpiece final at the national stadium, and maintain our chances of an unlikely (but not impossible) quadruple.
For Arsenal, our potential lineup could look something like this (4-3-3):
David Raya;
Jurrien Timber,
William Saliba,
Gabriel,
Riccardo Calafiori;
Martin Zubimendi,
Declan Rice,
Martin Odegaard;
Noni Madueke,
Viktor Gyokeres,
Leo Trossard
Score prediction:
3-1 Arsenal, you heard it here first…..
