Arsenal vs Wigan Athletic: FA Cup Predicted Line-Up
Here's Nick Manfredi's predicted starting XI: Arsenal vs Chelsea as Eze and Kepa decisions made while Jesus returns
Arsenal’s bid for an unprecedented quadruple will be put on the line as we take on Wigan Athletic in the fourth round of the FA Cup this afternoon.
This will be our first meeting with the Latics since the 2014 FA Cup semi final in which we won 4-2 on penalties after a 1-1 draw en route to ending our nine-year trophy drought.
Wigan had famously won the FA Cup the year before beating Manchester City 1-0 in the final but since then they have suffered numerous relegations and currently sit 22nd in League one, two points from safety.
In fact, it was Arsenal who inflicted the fatal blow on Wigan’s Premier League status just three days after the greatest day in their history as our 4-1 win ended their eight year stay in the top flight where they haven’t returned since.
I think Mikel Arteta will opt for a strong lineup which is something we can comfortably do even after making wholesale changes.
I think this is a great chance to try Myles Lewis-Skelly in midfield which is something many of us have been clamouring to see for a long time now. Let’s wait and see.
Here is my predicted lineup (4-2-3-1):
Kepa:
White,
Mosquera,
Hincapie,
Calafiori,
MLS;
Norgaard,
Eze,
Martinelli,
Madueke,
Jesus
