Arsenal head coach Renee Slegers revealed that captain Kim Little played two games with a broken finger before undergoing surgery this week.

Little played against Brighton and Chelsea after sustaining the injury earlier this month in Arsenal’s clash with Crystal Palace. The Scot missed Wednesday’s FA Cup win over Bristol City.

“Kim Little had to do surgery on her hand. She broke her finger against Crystal Palace,” Slegers revealed.

“For long-term help she needed to do that, so she did surgery and it was successful.”

Regarding Caitlin Foord, who came off injured in first half stoppage time against Chelsea, Slegers said: “We will see. It’s still a question mark, she’s recovering well.”
