Arsenal Women to face OH Leuven return in Champions League knockout phase

Renee Slegers’ side face a two-legged tie in February in order to reach the quarter-finals

Arsenal Women will face a return to Wednesday night’s opponents OH Leuven in the Champions League knockout phase.

The European champions finished fifth in the inaugural league table, missing out on a direct route to the quarter-finals. To reach the last eight, Renee Slegers’ side must win over two legs in February’s knockout round.

Arsenal will travel to Leuven/Madrid first before hosting the return leg the following week. The club will confirm the venue in due course.

Should the Gunners progress, they will face Women’s Super League rivals Chelsea in the quarter-finals.

Arsenal completed their league phase with a routine 3-0 win away to Leuven on Wednesday night, with Olivia Smith and Beth Mead on target.
