Arsenal Women v Aston Villa team news: Gunners make two changes

Lotte Wubben-Moy and Stina Blackstenius come into the side that drew with Manchester United

Arsenal Women have named a strong side to host Aston Villa in the FA Cup fourth round.

Renee Slegers makes two changes to her team’s league draw with Manchester United last weekend, with Lotte Wubben-Moy and Stina Blackstenius coming into the side.

Leah Williamson is sidelined with a calf injury, and Chloe Kelly remains out with a knee issue. Frida Maanum drops to the bench.

Anneke Borbe remains in goal with Daphne van Domselaar not in the squad. Slegers said on Friday that the Dutchwoman “might be back” to face her former club, and is “progressing well” towards an injury return.

Jenna Nighswonger joined Aston Villa on loan from the Gunners earlier this month and is ineligible to face her parent club. Rachel Daly is not in the squad for the visitors.

Arsenal: Borbe; McCabe, Catley, Wubben-Moy, Fox; Little, Caldentey; Smith, Russo, Mead; Blackstenius.

Subs: Williams, Liddiard, Codina, Hinds, Harwood, Holmberg, Pelova, Maanum, Foord.
