Alessia Russo told The Gooner Fanzine how happy she is that Arsenal could score so many goals this evening.
The Gunners beat AS FAR 6-0 in the semi-final of the FIFA Women's Champions Cup, booking their place in Sunday's final at Emirates Stadium.
Russo, who came on in the 60th minute and scored a brace, was happy her side had found the goalscoring form, reminiscent of the end of last season.
She said: "It's always nice. Any team wants to score as many goals as possible, and maybe we've struggled with that over the last few weeks.
"It was nice to hit the back of the net a few times and play some free-flowing football."
Russo's international teammate, Chloe Kelly, made her return to the pitch this evening after a period sidelined with injury, and Russo spoke about what that meant.
She said: "It was so nice. Chloe's a top player and person, and she adds so much to the team on and off the pitch.
"To have her back involved and in and around it all is really positive for everyone."
The Gunners will face SC Corinthians in Sunday's final after the Brazilian side beat the NWSL's Gotham FC 1-0 in the other semi-final tie.
The final kicks off at 6pm and will be played in the familiar territory of N5.
