The draw for the knock-out stages of the Champions League has been made: Find out who Arsenal will face in the Round of 16
The Gunners will face German side Bayer Leverkusen in the first leg at their BayArena home on either Tuesday, March 10 or Wednesday, March 11, before the return fixture in north London a week later, on either Tuesday, March 17 or Wednesday, March 18.
Fixture confirmation will be announced in due course.
The Gunners could face Sporting or Bodo/Glimt in the quarter-finals if they defeat Bayer Leverkusen.
Then potentially Newcastle/Barcelona or Atletico Madrid/Tottenham in the semi-finals.
Mikel Arteta's side also swerve the potential prospect of facing PSG, Liverpool, Real Madrid, Manchester City, Bayern Munich and Chelsea.
Arsenal last faced Leverkusen in competitive action back in the 2001-02 Champions League second group stage, when a last-minute concession saw us draw 1-1 at the BayArena.
While Arsene Wenger's side ran out 4-1 victors at Highbury with icons Robert Pires, Thierry Henry, Patrick Vieria and Dennis Bergkamp all scoring, Leverkusen went on to reach the 2002 final, where they lost to Real Madrid and Zinedene Zidane's astonishing volley at Hampden Park.
