Date confirmed for Arsenal's FA Cup third round fixture at Portsmouth
Arsenal's hunt to lift the FA Cup for record 15th time begins at Championship side Pompey
The date for the Gunners FA Cup third-round tie against Portsmouth has been confirmed.
Mikel Arteta's side will travel to the south coast for the cup clash on Sunday, January 11.
The game at Fratton Park will be a 2pm kick-off, and will be shown live in the UK on TNT Sports.
Arsenal last played a matter of days before the Covid lockdown in March 2020, when we won 2-0, en route to lifting the silverware in Arteta's first season in charge.
The triumph also extended the North Londoners unbeaten run against the south-coast side in the competition to five matches.
There are no replays if matches end as a draw, meaning all ties will go to extra-time and, if necessary, a penalty shootout to decide who makes it through to the fourth round.
Ticket details for the game will be announced in due course.
Portsmouth currently sit in 22nd place in the second tier.
