Dates confirmed for Arsenal Women Champions League fixtures

The Gunners will kick off their defence of the UWCL against French giants Lyon

Arsenal Women will begin their Champions League defence at home to Lyon next month at Meadow Park.

Renée Slegers' side beat the French giants in the semi-finals of last season's competition, and will then return to the city in which they beat Barcelona in the final to take on Benfica in Lisbon.

Arsenal will aim to avoid a repeat of last October's away defeat to Bayern Munich in November, before the Gunners host Real Madrid- the Gunners' quarter-final opponents in 2024/25.

Former Arsenal midfielder Jill Roord will return to Meadow Park with Dutch side FC Twente, and the defending champions will travel to Leuven to close out their league phase campaign. OHL are the first Belgian side to qualify for the competition.

Arsenal's league phase fixtures in full:

October 7 (8pm) v Lyon (H) - Meadow Park

October 16 (8pm) v Benfica (A) - Estadio da Luz

November 12 (7.45pm) v Bayern Munich (A) - Allianz Arena

November 19 (8pm) v Real Madrid (H) - Meadow Park

December 9 (8pm) v FC Twente (H) - Meadow Park

December 17 (8pm) v OH Leuven (A) - Den Dreef
