Arsenal sign up Ethan Nwaneri on a new long term contract 

Gunners talented teen Ethan Nwaneri has signed a new long-term contract with the club.

The exciting Arsenal teenager has put pen to paper on a new five-year contract - which will keep him at the Premier League club until the summer of 2030.

"It means everything to me, I'm so happy to have got it done. This is where I feel at home, and where I'm going to develop the best," Nwaneri said.

"I'm very excited. I see this as my first real season and part of a proper squad in the changing room. I'm so excited for what I can bring to the team and how I can help the team.

"I think I've actually become more direct over the past few years and I've added more goals, so I'm excited for what will come next."

The precocious attacking midfielder - who has been with Arsenal since he was eight years old - made history when he became the youngest player to play for the club's first-team, as well as becoming the youngest top-flight player in the history of English football when he made his debut at Brentford, aged 15 years and 181 days back in 2022.

In January, Nwaneri became only the third player (after Michael Owen and Wayne Rooney) to score three Premier League goals before his 18th birthday.

The attacking midfielder made 37 appearances last term, notching nine goals in all competitions, while also helping England U21s defend their European Championship title earlier this summer in Slovakia .

The 18-year-old's previous deal had been set to expire in June 2026.
