Everton v Arsenal Women team news: Leah Williamson starts on the bench

Arsenal make three changes from Tuesday’s Champions League win over FC Twente

Arsenal centre-back Leah Williamson may return from a knee injury against Everton, but will have to do so from the bench at Goodison Park.

Williamson is involved in the Arsenal squad for the third game in a row, but Steph Catley and Lotte Wubben-Moy start in central defence against the Toffees.

Renee Slegers brings Kyra Cooney-Cross and Kim Little into the side, as Mariona Caldentey starts in the number ten role. Caitlin Foord replaces Olivia Smith out wide.

Emily Fox returns to the side in place of Taylor Hinds, whilst Alessia Russo makes her 100th Women’s Super League appearance.

Laia Codina is fit enough to make the bench, but Jenna Nighswonger is sidelined- both missed the win over FC Twente in midweek. Frida Maanum is not in the squad.

Arsenal: Borbe; McCabe, Catley, Wubben-Moy, Fox; Little, Cooney-Cross; Foord, Caldentey, Mead; Russo.

Subs: Liddiard, Williamson, Codina, Hinds, Harwood, Pelova, Smith, Blackstenius.
