Arsenal midfielder Mariona Caldentey has added another trophy to her illustrious collection after Spain beat Germany over two legs to win the 2025 UEFA Nations League title.
Euro 2025 finalists Spain were held to a 0-0 draw in the first leg but won 3-0 at the Estadio Metropolitano in Madrid, with Caldentey setting up the opening goal for Claudia Pina.
Eye-catching strikes from Vicky Lopez and Pina again completed a comprehensive victory for Sonia Bermudez’ side.

England ended 2025 with ten goals in two games, beating Ghana 2-0 after Saturday’s 8-0 thumping of China. Substitute Alessia Russo netted the Lionesses’ second goal after Lucia Kendall’s first in England colours had opened the scoring.
Arsenal fans were left worried when Chloe Kelly, who missed a good chance early on, limped off with a knee injury in the 20th minute.
England boss Sarina Wiegman said: “She felt something with her knee that didn't feel right so that was the reason why we had to take her off. She could walk but it didn't feel right so it will have to be assessed."
Elsewhere, Victoria Pelova picked up an assist in the Netherlands’ 5-0 win over South Korea, with Arsenal legend Vivianne Miedema scoring four times. Gunners loanee Rosa Kafaji scored for Sweden against France in the Nations League third-place play-off, with France coming out on top 4-3 on aggregate.
