Arsenal head coach Jonas Eidevall believes that “the whole club” should be proud of homegrown defender Lotte Wubben-Moy after she impressed in the Gunners’ 3-1 win against Manchester United.

Wubben-Moy was named player of the match by the Arsenal Women Supporters’ Club after another reliable display in defence.

Eidevall said: "Obviously the unit was really important today because it was quite a new back four for us, where we have Leah Williamson injured, we have Amanda Ilestedt ill, we have Emily Fox at the Gold Cup.

"We had to rejig, and you could see how a player like Codina, for example, she has trained very well, she was ready to play, but it's still a new back four to play together.

"But in that unit, we have to acknowledge a player like Lotte Wubben-Moy. We have to acknowledge the levels she has been playing at this season, and seeing how much she develops.

"A performance like she does today, that's incredible, and I think it's something that the whole club should be very proud of, because she's Arsenal through and through.

"She's come from our academy, and she's come from our community, and to see her excel the way she does at Emirates Stadium, I think it's fantastic."

"I'm really really happy both for her, and the club."
