  15. Freddie Cardy at Broadfield Stadium: 20:54 #2025

Chelsea have beaten Leicester 6-0 at Kingsmeadow to close the gap on Manchester United at the top of the table to one point, with a game in hand.

  16. Freddie Cardy at Broadfield Stadium: 20:53 #2024

Arsenal have been really sloppy here and thanks to that stop by Zinsberger and some excellent Beattie defending their clean sheet is still intact.

  17. Freddie Cardy at Broadfield Stadium: 20:52 #2023

63' Good save by Zinsberger down to her left. Beattie headed away Green's cross but McCabe's pass was straight into the feet of of a Brighton player, who forced Zinsberger into a fine stop. 0-4

  28. Freddie Cardy at Broadfield Stadium: 20:32 #2012

The teams are emerging from the tunnel for the second half, with Arsenal's Kuhl and Blackstenius looking very relaxed as they chat on the halfway line before we get back underway. Rafaelle is replaced by fellow Brazilian Gio at the break.

  29. Freddie Cardy at Broadfield Stadium: 20:26 #2011

As things stand Arsenal move into the top three (the Champions League places) on goal difference, which is certainly improving after that first 45 minutes. Brighton will have to wait a little longer before they can confirm their WSL safety, with games against Everton and Leicester to come. 0-4

  30. Freddie Cardy at Broadfield Stadium: 20:20 #2010

Blackstenius’ early brace put Arsenal in control and the Gunners were able to finish the first half like they started it, with goals from midfield duo Maanum and Pelova. Brighton lost 8-0 to Spurs here earlier this season in what became Hope Powell's final game in charge, and this has the potential to be almost as ugly for the home side.

  31. Freddie Cardy at Broadfield Stadium: 20:17 #2009

  36. Freddie Cardy at Broadfield Stadium: 20:10 #2004

  37. Freddie Cardy at Broadfield Stadium: 20:06 #2003

37' A nervy moment for Arsenal as Beattie gets to the ball ahead of Robinson, but Zinsberger slipped as the ball was played back to her but luckily managed to recover. 0-2

  38. Freddie Cardy at Broadfield Stadium: 20:04 #2002

34' The Brighton band seems to be here- how they got two saxaphones, a trombone, drums, guitar and amp past the stewards we will never know. It's a festival sort of atmosphere in Crawley! 0-2

  44. Freddie Cardy at Broadfield Stadium: 19:49 #1996

    20' Green will continue. 0-2

  45. Freddie Cardy at Broadfield Stadium: 19:49 #1995

  47. Freddie Cardy at Broadfield Stadium: 19:45 #1993

16' Replays have suggested that Blackstenius was incorrectly flagged offside there... It would have indeed been the quickest ever WSL hat-trick. No VAR in this league so it remains 0-2

  48. Freddie Cardy at Broadfield Stadium: 19:42 #1992

12' Brighton are trying all they can to play out from the back but Arsenal's press, spearheaded by Blackstenius, is causing all sorts of problems. 0-2

  49. Freddie Cardy at Broadfield Stadium: 19:41 #1991

11' Arsenal continue to pile the pressure on the Seagulls, and Blackstenius will be wondering what the record is for the quickest WSL hat-trick! She thought she had got it too after running in behind, taking the ball past Walsh and finishing but the assistant's flag was up. 0-2

  50. Freddie Cardy at Broadfield Stadium: 19:39 #1990

8' GOAL! Brighton 0-2 Arsenal- Just like that Blackstenius doubles Arsenal’s lead! Brighton give the hall away and Blackstenius had options on either side but placed the ball into the bottom corner to make it 2-0 to the Arsenal. The worst possible start for the home side. 0-2

  51. Freddie Cardy at Broadfield Stadium: 19:36 #1989

6' GOAL! Brighton 0-1 Arsenal- Stina Blackstenius drives into the box and cuts inside onto her right foot, curling the ball past Megan Walsh to give Arsenal the lead. 0-1

    1' UNDERWAY! 0-0

  55. Freddie Cardy at Broadfield Stadium: 19:29 #1985

All set to kick off here at Broadfield Stadium! Both sides take a knee before kickoff.

  56. Freddie Cardy at Broadfield Stadium: 19:26 #1984

Very interesting to see how Arsenal will operate with this change- it's not a like-for-like replacement at all and somebody will have to step up in defensive midfield. Perhaps Pelova can do a job there, or will one of Arsenal's back three step in? We shall find out.

  57. Freddie Cardy at Broadfield Stadium: 19:23 #1983

One very late change to Arsenal's starting lineup as Lia Walti drops to the bench due to illness, with Jodie Taylor coming in for the Swiss midfielder.

  58. Freddie Cardy at Broadfield Stadium: 19:17 #1982

Frida Maanum's fine curled finish in the second half was the difference as Arsenal overcame a plucky Leicester side on Friday night at Meadow Park. Katie McCabe won an early penalty after being brought down by Hannah Cain, but her effort was saved by Janina Leitzig, who denied multiple Arsenal shots over the course of the game. Jonas Eidevall was correct in his assessment that the Gunners deserved to win the tie though, with a number of chances not finding the back of the net.

  59. Freddie Cardy at Broadfield Stadium: 19:10 #1981

Chelsea lead Leicester in the other WSL game this evening. Gurto Reiten's 7th minute goal moves the Blues to within a point of Manchester United as it stands.

  60. Freddie Cardy at Broadfield Stadium: 19:02 #1980

Arsenal will move into the Champions League places if they win tonight, taking third place from Manchester City on goal difference. League leaders Manchester United and third placed Man City have played 20 games, whilst Arsenal and second placed Chelsea have played 18.

  61. Freddie Cardy at Broadfield Stadium: 18:59 #1979

Interesting to see that Arsenal's ten starting outfield players are warming up separately to the substitutes whilst doing similar possession drills.

  62. Freddie Cardy at Broadfield Stadium: 18:57 #1978

Melissa Phillips has taken Brighton from bottom of the WSL to 9th place, five points clear of the relegation zone. A win tonight would confirm the Seagulls' place in the top flight for next season, with Phillips doing a superb job to turn things around after replacing Jens Scheuer just over a month ago.

  63. Freddie Cardy at Broadfield Stadium: 18:46 #1977

Both teams are out to warm up here at Broadfields Stadium, the home of Crawley Town.

  64. Freddie Cardy at Broadfield Stadium: 18:43 #1976

Caitlin Foord is also fit enough for the bench after over a month on the sidelines after picking up an injury in the 2-1 win over Manchester City at the start of April.

  65. Freddie Cardy at Broadfield Stadium: 18:41 #1975

Freya Godfrey is also amongst the substitutes after scoring the goal for Ipswich Town to beat Oxford United on the weekend, to help Watford win the title in the Southern Premier Division!

  66. Freddie Cardy at Broadfield Stadium: 18:38 #1974

Young central midfielder Ruby Doe is on the bench for Arsenal- she joined Watford on a dual-registration agreement last month.

  67. Freddie Cardy at Broadfield Stadium: 18:32 #1973

Arsenal's only change from the 1-0 win against Leicester on Friday comes between the sticks, with Manu Zinsberger coming back in for Sabrina D'Angelo.

  68. Freddie Cardy at Broadfield Stadium: 18:31 #1972

Arsenal: Zinsberger, Maritz, Beattie, Rafaelle, Wubben-Moy, McCabe, Walti, Maanum, Pelova, Kuhl, Blackstenius.

  69. Freddie Cardy at Broadfield Stadium: 18:30 #1971

Brighton: Walsh, Kullberg, Bergsvand, Morse, Pattinson, Zigiotti, Robinson, Stefanovic, Green, Lee, Terland.

  70. Freddie Cardy at Broadfield Stadium: 18:25 #1970

Team news is just a few minutes away. Jonas Eidevall had no updates on injuries to Caitlin Foord, Steph Catley and Lina Hurtig, with the Arsenal manager telling the media that he would only find out more about their situations when his team trained after yesterday's press conference. Foord is nearing a return, whilst Catley went off injured after coming on against Leicester as a substitute.
